SASS Social Media — Event Design & Communication
Project Type
Social Media & Communication Design / University Society Collaboration
Date
2024-2025
Role
Co-Designer
This project was developed as part of my involvement in the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) student society at the Australian National University. Working collaboratively with another designer, we created digital event materials and social media content to promote inclusivity and community engagement across the faculty.
The featured campaign, Women in Research Morning Tea, was designed to celebrate International Women’s Day and highlight the achievements of women in academia. Our aim was to communicate warmth, celebration, and professionalism while maintaining alignment with SASS’s visual identity and accessibility standards.
The design uses a friendly typographic hierarchy, soft organic shapes, and a balanced pastel palette to evoke connection and optimism. These choices reflect the collaborative and supportive atmosphere of the SASS community. The campaign was distributed across digital and social platforms, ensuring consistent visual messaging for the event.
My Role:
I co-designed the visual assets, contributed to concept development, layout design, and typographic styling, and collaborated on preparing files for digital publication. The project was a shared creative process, combining visual experimentation with practical communication outcomes.
This work represents my approach to community-focused communication design, showing how thoughtful visuals can bring people together and celebrate shared values.
